Dear community,
We are in process of migrating all our samples and related datasets from the core UI to start using ELN.
Since the core UI don’t have the Electronic Notebooks (ELN) we naturally created spaces for each group within our organization so that we could separate roles based on “space” and “project” restricted access with a hierarchy seen in the figure below.
A Project can have one or more experiments. An experiment has one or more samples. The Sample / Biological object has it’s properties (lab preparation etc) but also have one or more datasets (depending on how many technical replicates), which is measured from an acquisition machine (mass spectrometer).
I just have a hunch that we would need to “move” the space with experiments and samples to the “Inventory” instead of the “Lab Notebook” section, since in the core UI the concepts of “inventory” and “Lab Notebook” doesn’t seem to exist. But I might be wrong.
Is there anyone who has done a similar change and have some good points on how to reason and go about this “move”?
