Hi everyone.

I would like to ask everyone to collect known bugs here. In particular, the hierarchy of objects in the main menu and the export. Has anyone tested this yet?

We did not find any bugs so far, and we will upgrade our main instance to 20.10.12.5 during this week.

Reported bugs by users:

20.10.12.5

  • Filter on codes in parents/children tables is case-sensitive. Using upper-cases does not work. Filtering should be case-insensitive.This is specific to 20.10.12.5

20.10.12.x

  • Export to Zip and Zenodo does not work when selecting several entries from multiple spaces or when there are very nested structures (several levels of parents/children). This has been reported in 20.10.12.2, present also in 20.10.12.5.
  • ELN tabs layout not working on mobile phones. When using the ELN on a mobile phone, the Inventory and Tools tabs are not visible. Reported in 20.10.12.2, present also in 20.10.12.5.
  • Cannot enter Project Code in Safari browser.

Dear all,

one additional bug notification for 20.10.12.5:

  • admin UI -PAT: cannot select start date and end date from widget in PAT creation.

Workarounds:

  1. type the date in the date fields instead of using the widget. Please note that you should only type in the date, not the time. The time stamp will automatically be set to 00:00:00. If you enter the timestamp, thsi leads to an error.
  2. use pyBIS

The sidebar only shows objects for a specific space when sort order is “Reg date, descending”. All other sortings show nothing (just “load more”).

Advanced Search - using a saved search:

When saving an advanced search, the name of the saved criteria is in the selection, but criteria is not loaded when you select it. If you close the advanced search tab and open again, the problem still persists that you can’t select the advanced search.
Solution:
To use the saved advanced search(es), you have to log out and in again.

However, when you switch between saved searches in the dropdown, openbis “adds” multiple redundant “field values” of the same criteria which can over-load the client - like in the screenshot below.
