here is a list of known bugs reported till now for 20.10.12.2:
cannot visualise datasets attached to Space Objects and Project Objects
wrong link to documentation in ELN UI
cannot filter by date or timestamp in ELN tables
objects not shown in the correct hierarchy in ELN navigation menu. Some users have reported this issue, but it is not systematic for all users.
“show more” option in menu no longer present.
ELN tables: long text cut in tables and “show more” option no longer available
ELN tables: tables have fixed size now; if a table is set to display more than 10 entries, when scrolling to the bottom of the table, the table header disappears
Menu does not re-load when switching between Lab Notebook, Inventory and Tools tabs after closing all tabs in one of these sections.
When adding a new group to a multi-group instance, the settings of this group cannot be opened
Zenodo export not working in multi-group instances
We plan to have a 20.10.12.3 bug fix release early next year to fix these issues.
If you encounter anything not covered in this list, please report it as soon as possible. Can be reported as reply to this topic or to openbis-support@id.ethz.ch.
Hi Caterina,
We’re currently trying out the 20.10.12.2 release using tablets, however we quickly realize that it’s not possible to input text in any of the text fields (General search, filling forms for objects, entries, protocols etc)
What happens is that once you mark the text field, the keyboard pops up for a millisecond and then disappears, making it impossible to write anything.
We realized that after a “certain time” some tabs become unresponsive. This happens both on Apple computers running Safari, or Windows computers running Chrome. Here is a (probably not very helpful) screenshot, where the clicking on ‘show available storage space’ slightly discolors the button, but does not have any tangible effect.
Reloading the windows solves the issue, but isn’t great in windows where data has been entered….
I encountered a bug where moving a set of objects from a collection in a project to a project with no collections present silently deletes all objects to be moved - admins cannot see objects in the ‘deleted items’ section. It is reproducible.
are you sure that the objects are deleted? It is possible that they are not visible in the main menu because you need to enable them to be shown in the settings. Did you try to search for those objects?
You are absolutely right, a simple global search showed the presumed “deleted” sample.. It appears that their path is now in my userspace root, so ‘VBOETTCHER/A_SAMPLE’ whereas the identifier shows ‘VBOETTCHER/SAMPLES/A_SAMPLE’. Where may i unhide the objects?
