Dear community,
As you have seen during the last half-year, not many updates have happened. The team has been hard at work on openBIS 7.
Work on the new DSS is mostly complete.
We also have new modelling features, like:
- Individual field validation: In addition to validators that require coding, it is now possible to configure validation of fields from the master data definition.
- Internal Namespace for the Complete Model: Including Types, Type Assignments, and Vocabulary Terms in addition to Property Types and Vocabularies. This will allow us to greatly simplify how we denote parts of the model that are part of the system and non-user-modifiable from others.
The work mostly remaining is:
- Work on the new DSS UI and new ELN forms.
- Removal of deprecated features.
You can expect the release of openBIS 6 to include an update on our work in progress when we reach a stable point.
