Single-Sign-On Authentication

Hello,

I am looking for the documentation regarding Single Sign on. The Documentatiion states, that Single sign on with Shibboleth is supported, but there are no details how it can be configured. The link leads to the page itself with no details:

Currently only Shibboleth SSO is supported. For more details see Single Sign On Authentication.

Can someone help?

I found now this webpage with more information which maybe should have been the original link in the documentation?

edit: however it seems this documentation is still from 2010 and not up date date as a lot has changed in the meantime. Is there someone who can give advice with setting up SSO with the current OpenBIS 7.0? So that it can also use our IDP for user management?

Is it necessary to register our instance with SWITCHaai, or could we also use a provider such as DFN-AAI?
Any Advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!
